Oh NO... I have a "Trouble Maker" :(

So today when I went to get Carter from school he was not out on the playground with the other kids... in fact there was four little boys missing! I found him in on the time out mat! Not MY kid! The teacher pulled me aside and said that Carter had made some new friends, but not the right kind of friends! I told her I would talk to Carter and make sure that he is good from now on. Here's how our conversation went-

(M) "Carter why did you go to time out today?"
(C) "Because me and three other little boys are Trouble Makers!!!" When I grow up I WANT to be a trouble maker!"
(M) "Carter it's not good to be a trouble maker. Then you miss out on recess and donuts and all other games and treats!"
(C) "Okay, I guess I'll be a ninja spy."
(M) "Good, just make sure you're an excellent boy in class and that you are quiet during rug time."

A conversation with Taylor at the grocery store today-

(M) "What should we get today T bone?"
(T) "I want "hiding hotdogs."

For those of you who don't know what a hiding hotdog is... it's a corn dog! He has found that he absolutely loves them. He thinks it's so funny that the hotdog is hiding!

Valentine's Day

We have been at my mom's in St. George playing and decided to make daddy some Valentine's cards! We had a blast. We had construction paper, candy, and TONS of glitter! We did this outside and only had a few little mishaps... wind makes glitter really tough. The other, babies and candy. They thought they would at the candy off the paper. I can't even tell you how much glue they ate that day! Ew!!! Anyway, daddy met us here over the weekend and it was so nice to see him. We gave him the gifts we made and Carter had also picked out some little gifts from the kids!

Carter with his cards he made!

Taylor LOVED the candy part the most!

To daddy from Carter!
The others cards! I thought they turned out really CUTE!

The little hugs! Mommy gave him the kiss with the crazy hair. Carter picked out the "fire hair" hug. Taylor picked out the little devil hug, which was totally appropriate! Hunter gave him the love hug, and Ryker is the little bug hug because he is our little cuddle bug! Daddy even brought valentines for us!

He brought me a BEAUTIFUL yellow bouquet of roses, a cute bear, and a fun balloon! He bought the little kids cute valentines that totally matched their personalities! I could tell that he had put a lot of thought into them. Thank you Rhett! We love you!!!

Carter thought the balloon was so cool. He loved that it floated up so high. He thought it was so cool that he took it outside and let it go to see how high it could really go. He felt really bad when Rhett explained that the balloon was actually mine! That's okay though. I still think he's a cutie!

New Pets

The little boys have really wanted a pet since they were just tiny! We started with fish and have now moved our way up to birds! We bought two parakeets, one female and one male! Carter was so excited and with the help from his daddy and little brother Taylor named them Shark Boy and Lava Girl! I could have screamed when they picked those names, but Rhett reminded me that they are their pets NOT MINE!

Rhett had a bird in his house growing up so he actually really likes the birds! He is getting them used to our family by putting his finger in and letting them jump on it! They really are seeming to like Rhett! As for the rest of us.... it will still take a while! The babies LOVE the birds, but try to stick their fingers in to touch them and it just scares the crap out of the them! Carter and Taylor are content to just sit and stare at them. We love in the mornings because Shark Boy always sings beautiful little songs to Lava Girl!

We really aren't the greatest pet people, but we will see how they work out! If not, I guess we will take them to petco to get adopted! :)

This is Shark Boy!

Rock Climbing

This is a hobby I have LOVED for years and years! I really need to start climbing again! It is something that I have missed since being married! It looks like if I keep training these little ones I'll definitely have a couple rock climbing partners!

Taylor didn't quite get the concept of using your feet and your arms, but don't worry... practice makes perfect!!!

The cutest shoes EVER!!!

These little Airwalks are the cutest shoes I've ever seen for babies! A total pain in the butt to put on, but so worth it when you see your little ones running around with them on! I fell in love and Oprah made it possible with her payless deal. What a great find!

A Visit to Egypt!

Today we NEEDED to get out of the house! We have been learning about all sorts of things in History so we took a much needed trip to Egypt! It was great. The little boys learned so much from all the murals and even got to build their own pyramids! I have to say they were very inventive with their pyramids. Carter's looked a lot like a mansion pyramid! Way to go guys!

Do you ever just have those days where you have to do something? Today was one of those for me! I had had a really bad day yesterday so I thought we needed something fun to bring us a little closer together! We picked up right after the babies woke up from their nap and headed to the park! We made a quick pit stop to Arby's and got some roast beef sandwiches because everyone knows that when you play hard you get super hungry and thirsty! (Carter) WE then ate and played our little hearts out until mommy got hot! Then we went into the Museum to learn about Egypt! I was very impressed by the detail they put into everything!

Please ignore the faces my kids are pulling in all the pictures! I swear when I tell them to smile they give me the worst looks I've ever seen! I know they do this just to tick me off too, but today I was untouchable... it's amazing what an arby's sandwich can do for the soul! :)

Two highlights from the trip to Egypt!!!

(1) Taylor was too short to see some of the things so Carter lifted him up! (Without even being asked. That's huge!!!)

(2) Taylor was terrified of the mummy in the last picture! He wouldn't even go near it, but asked me really seriously, "Mommy, why dat guy get stuck in tape?" I couldn't help but giggle a little as I tried to explain mummification to my sweet little three year old! Later in the evening when he was being naughty I did have to threaten it though. I pulled out the tape dispenser and told him if he didn't say sorry to Hunter and give him a kiss I was going to have to tape him up like the mummy! He immediately ran right up and did as I asked! I will have to remember to bring a thing of tape with me everywhere I go from now on! :)

Anyway, here's a few pictures from our trip to Egypt! Enjoy!!!

Dentist Airplane???

So we are driving home from the base the other day and Carter pipes up from the back, "Hey Mom, I need to have dad show me that stuff."

"What stuff?"

"How to do the dentist stuff. When I grow up I want to be a dentist airplane."

For those of you who don't know exactly what a dentist airplane is:

The definition of a dentist airplane, explained by Carter, is a person that works on teeth on Mondays and fly's Helicopters on Wednesdays.

That obviously peaked my curiosity, "So Carter what would you do on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday?"

"Oh, that's when I play with my kids!"

He is such a sweetheart! Do you ever feel like our kids are growing up to fast though?

A bad start to the day-

That is unfortunately NOT chocolate! The plus side is that he didn't eat any of it! I HATE that the babies know how to take off their diapers and am honestly considering DUCK tape! These poor cribs have been scrubbed and scrubbed due to the babies taking off their poopy diapers and playing in their poo! I know it's incredibly disgusting, but just thought I'd share that my morning started off rough! I have high hopes that it will get better! If it gets worse... I'm going back to bed!!!

Hunter is starting to talk!

Bouncing Babies!

Daddies M & M Jar!

One thing that my kids learn from about 6 months on is that Rhett loves M&M's. I mean like he is totally addicted to peanut butter M&M's and always has them in the ceramic cookie jar he made in Hawaii! I used to just laugh because the little boys could seriously hear him getting them from the other room. He would reach in and grab a handful and literally thirty seconds later Carter and Taylor would run in and ask for some! That to me just shows that boys have "Selective Hearing" from day one! I ask them to clean their room and they just look through me like I'm not even there!

Anyway, the babies know that daddy has M&M's too. They love when daddy goes into his office and are literally jumping up and down waiting for him to bring them out their treat! Well, today daddy must have left the door to his office open because while I was doing school with Carter I heard Taylor say, "I have the most M&M's."

I cringe as I walk into daddies office and see three happy little monkeys sitting on the floor by the M&M jar! They each had both hands full and about six in their mouths. I ran them up to the tub and came down to assess the damage! I was so bummed to see that they had broke the lid. Also you can see from the bottom picture most of the M&M's were a little soggy from falling out of babies FULL mouths! Sorry Rhett. I should have noticed they were being WAY TOO QUIET!

Sorry about the pictures! They are totally fuzzy! I cleaned off the lens after I got them out of the tub!!!

Ryker looks like a little pirate in this one!

Two little chocolate faces!

The dried up M&M's. I will have to buy Rhett a fresh bag and feed these "Yucky" ones to the kids!
