Rhett's "Touchy, Feely" day at the zoo!

Right before Christmas we needed a day out of the house. Sometimes I tend to get a little stir crazy. Anyway, Rhett had a few weeks off when he got home for R & R. It was nice to have him come with us. He was in such a silly mood though and I thought he was going to get us kicked out of the zoo for sure. lol

Rhett saw this awesome Horror House. Nothing screams Christmas like a haunted house. lol. Rhett was super bummed that is was closed when we went.

Alright folks, prepare yourselves for something crazy...
Rhett did it. He touched the hippo.

Don't let that face fool you. He was actually pretty scared. The whole time he was like, "Holy crap. I am totally petting a hippo. This is so boss." lol. I was laughing like crazy.

His silly mood continued when we got to the Ostrich's. He kept trying to get it to eat Hunter's boot. He was laughing like crazy when it finally bit it. lol

But the best part was when he leaned over and turned the faucet on the Alligator. You should have seen how fast it leaped into the water. Funniest thing I have ever seen!

It reminded me of the time that he threw a snowball at the tiger at the Hogle Zoo and got yelled at by some lady. That was actually funny because my Dad was the one who threw the first snowball. She just happened to walk up as Rhett threw one. I think Rhett made the comment, "Hey Lady, I was just trying to give it some sort of stimulation." lol.

Okay, okay. I have to come clean about something. He didn't actually turn on the water. He wanted to, but he was able to resist. lol. It was definitely a fun day at the zoo. Rhett always seems to make things seem hilarious to me.

Christmas Morning

I snapped another picture while we were waiting for Daddy to put on pants so we could go downstairs.

This was my all time favorite gift that anyone got. Jenny and Aaron had our family this year and they sent some adorable shirts for the kids, some awesome face stuff for me, and this RAD shirt for Rhett. It seriously hits his personality so perfect. Thanks Jenn. :)

The kids all had such a great time opening presents and the twins were so excited with all their Mario and Weegie stuff. :)

Pre Christmas Chaos

Oh my gosh, I am so far behind on this thing. I used to do a pretty decent job of updating it, but lately I have really been slacking. I am going to try my best to get caught up. So expect a lot of posts in the next couple days. :)

Alright, where did I leave off?

That's right. Before Christmas. lol.

We had a lot of fun getting ready for Christmas. The kids helped me deck the house with all the fun decorations and we had a nice time finding Dobby.... our Christmas elf. I didn't do the Advent Calendar this year because Rhett was gone and I thought it might stress me out too much, but we did do a lot of fun Christmas activities together. Here are a few pictures leading up to Christmas day.

I thought these would be a fun way for the kids to count down to Christmas, but according to these calendars Christmas came exactly four days after I gave them to the kids. lol. They snuck several chocolates throughout the day.

We had lots of fun Christmas parties. Rhett's dental Christmas party was a themed party. Back to the 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's. I went with the flower girl look while Rhett wore his Michael Jackson costume. :) He was quite the hit.

We also had a fun branch party with caroling.

The kids were even able to see Santa and let him know their wishes.

We even got to watch Taylor give a Christmas concert. He was definitely the cutest elf and sang so nice. It was cute to actually have a kid who participates. Carter never really did. lol.

Oh, and we can't forget the annual gingerbread houses. The kids did a great job decorating them again this year and Taylor took it extremely serious.

These are the cookies that the kids left for Santa this year. They were AMAZING! It must have tricked him into thinking that they were actually good kids too because he came and left some fun gifts for each of them!

Santa's elves were up all freaking night putting together those stupid tractor big wheels. They had the worst directions. Hopefully when the twins are out playing on them they won't fall apart because I had at least 6 extra pieces when I finished mine. lol.
