Rhett thought it was high time he needed to start training his new little golfing partners. He took the two big boys to the driving range and was really quite impressed that Carter was picking it up so fast. I think they will have a lot of fun in years to come.
Ken, Rhett's Dad, took Rhett golfing as a child and it was a hobby they really enjoyed doing together throughout the years. Rhett can only hope that his little boys will enjoy going with him as much as he enjoyed going with his Dad.
His favorite memory of golfing with Ken is-
When he could finally out drive him. :) It was quite the accomplishment. It still makes him smile remembering how much fun they had together. They went to tons of different golf courses and Ken always made sure to invite Rhett to bring up his clubs every visit home. :) They even snuck off while we were in Hawaii to golf on Kauai. Rhett also always looked forward to the New Year's scramble with his Dad. They never won the tournament, but always had a great time visiting and playing together.
Rhett really misses you Ken. He had hoped to show you some of the courses here in Japan. He is really glad that you guys had this together though. He wants the same thing for his boys! Thanks for all the great times!!!

Practicing with the driver. He's starting to get it. He really had a great time and can't wait for Daddy to take him again! Taylor did well, but got tired really quick and wanted to go back to the car. :)Here are a couple videos of how they did. I think Carter can out drive me. When we were staying w/ mom & dad in Mesquite around Christmas we could hit balls into the driving range from our backyard. It was so much fun. Craig had a blast showing Jace how to hit it just right. I was HORRBILE!! It's so much harder than it looks. That's fun that Rhett is teaching Carter and Taylor. What a good daddy. He must be doing a good job too because I was quite impressed with the first Video of Carter. Fun stuff. Love you guys! :)
